Purple Violets

He grabbed me,
using the same strong hold
with which he seizes his bass.
His eyes, fixed on mine,
wanted to speak
of distant places,
magic carpets and endless dawns.
Mean while, in his arms,
I was starting to fuse with him,
into the night,
that was disguising itself
as purple violets.



Violetas Púrpuras

Me abrazó,
usando el mismo agarre con fuerza
con el cual toma su bajo.
Sus ojos, fijos en los míos,
querían hablarme
de lugares distantes,
alfombras voladoras y madrugadas eternas.
Mientras, en sus brazos,
me comenzaba a fundir con el y la noche,
que se comenzaba a disfrazar
de violetas púrpuras.

I can't believe
it's all going to be over
so soon.
Life will be erased
from the face of the earth
and Mother Nature
will finally have
her revenge.
Nevertheless, I know,
she will feel lonely.
I know that feeling
as the palm of my hand.
She will have to create
little imaginary friends
that will eventually turn
into us, again,
and the story
will repeat itself.

No puedo creer
que todo terminará
tan pronto.
La vida será borrada
de sobre la tierra
y Madre Naturaleza
habrá podido, por fin,

Ice Cream

He was just silent
sitting on the steps,
eating his ice cream,
and all I could see
was him,
naive and innocent,
ignoring, unconsciously,
the surrounding world.
Me, I'm just envious
of his peace
and the delight
with which he
eats his ice cream.


Helado

Estaba solo y silente
sentado en la entrada
