If
If the Muslim woman
ís despoiled of her veil;
if the Black Man
is elevated to a position of power;
if the Latino society
learned to become of value;
if planet Earth
finally received a little love;
if planet Earth
finally received a little love;
if the politicians, just once,
observed their campaign promises;
if our children
were allowed to follow their dreams,
would our world be
more free,
more just,
more hopeful,
more hopeful,
more safe,
more utopical,
more egalitarian?
Si Tan Sólo
Si la mujer Musulmana
es despojada de su velo;
si el Hombre Negro
es elevado a una posición de poder;
si la sociedad Latina
aprendiera a valorarse;
si la Tierra
recibiera finalmente un poco de amor;
si la Tierra
recibiera finalmente un poco de amor;
si los políticos, aún sea una vez,
cumplieran sus promesas de campaña;
si a nuestros niños
les fuera permitido perseguir sus sueños,
sería nuestro mundo
más libre,
más justo,
más seguro,
más verde,
más verde,
más utópico,
más igualitario?
